Polyhaus is a patent-pending system of residential construction that seeks to find Obtainable Housing Solutions. One constructed out of Cross-Laminated-Timber wrapped in an advanced building envelope of Rigid Insulation Metal Panels resting on Earth Screws.

Based on proven building technology commonly used in much larger scale construction, Polyhaus introduces a new typology of building, ideal for urban infill sites focused on affordability, scalability and sustainability. Solving the Housing Challenge well for California: Polyhaus offers affordable construction costs that align with average household incomes. Instead of starting from scratch in every project, as most small scale, balloon-frame residential construction does, Polyhaus offers a wide range of typologies, open for customization, whose time of construction is a fraction of conventional methods.

A paradigm shift in construction practices at the residential scale through a scalable system capable of meeting increased demand in a fraction of the time by introducing a national supply line of material providers that can handle large demand. Polyhaus offers a sustainable approach based on dramatically reducing the carbon footprint of construction through the introduction of a Cross-Laminated-Timber core, an energy efficient envelope and all dry construction. Solving the Housing Challenge well for the public: Polyhaus embraces inspired design through technology. A turnkey model of design and construction based on - mass-customization in a fraction of the time. Opening up the possibility for pre-approval at the level of zoning, and a streamlined construction process that reduces to a minimum the regular delays, trades and regular change orders that plague a conventional method of construction. With a goal at arriving at turn-key delivery in weeks not months. Rather than starting from scratch in each project, Polyhaus offers a series of typological options, designed around sizes and recommended room types that exist in current models offered by cities across the state in the pre-designed Accessory Dwelling Unit Programs (ADUs).

Polyhaus partners with a series of national suppliers to produce a patent-pending building envelope built of Cross-Laminated-Timber and Rigid Insulation Metal Panels whose robotically-based manufacturing allows for mass-customization in response to specific constraints of a given site.
